Professor Micheal Foley has been asked many times why we use the Military-style training uniforms in our centers. His answer comes from 32 years in the Army and another 8 years as a military advisor overseas in some of the most volatile countries in the world.

 

Why should we as Americans look to emulate, copy or elevate the cultures of Japan, Korea or China by wearing their costumes and belts when our own American culture and history is even more impressive? Our Armed Forces have been the greatest force for good the world has ever seen.

 

 Therefore, the ACU or Army Combat Uniform was adopted for our level 1, 2 and 3 students

and the Marine Corps forest digital camo uniform is used for the Brown belt students.

A solid black uniform is used for the Ik-Kyu and Black Belt level students to distinguish them and their accomplishments.
